We are working on ways to improve the Frolics for next year and we will be holding a public meeting to discuss the matter. It is scheduled for Thursday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the South Shore Park Pavilion. I want to stress that the Frolics volunteers have been working tirelessly on the event.
The South Shore Frolics is a three-day summer festival held annually at South Shore Park in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee. It features a parade, live music and fireworks at the lakefront. The event along with Summerfest and the many ethnic and cultural festivals held throughout the city, is what gives Milwaukee the nickname of “City of Festivals.” Celebrating its 64th year in 2013, the South Shore Folics is one of the oldest festivals in Milwaukee.
